He is New Zealand’s first and only Master Sommelier; an experienced writer, educator, judge, commentator and reviewer on all things Beverage. He is in demand as a presenter, lecturer and speaker on wine, beverage and hospitality related issues in New Zealand and abroad, and writes for a number of publications. As a professional Sommelier, Cameron is involved academically in his position as Senior Lecturer in charge of the Wine and Beverage Programme at AUT University in Auckland; and ‘out in the field’, consulting to the Hospitality Industry and the interested public, with a number of restaurants as his clients - in New Zealand and New York. When he passed his MS exams in London in 2007, he was awarded the Grand Siècle Trophy for achieving the highest marks.
